Did they lower that minivan, too?

I actually kind of like the wheels under it.

I’m... surprisingly ok with this. I like that they painted the calipers too. I saw painted calipers on a first gen Highlander the other day. That was odd.

I like this, too. I feel like it’s someone who is into cars but is currently dealing with the hand they have. As a new dad, I can empathize.

furthering this story, I’m picturing Camaro owner selling the wheels and tires cheap on craigslist because he went aftermarket. Dad working with what he had figured out they would fit and jumped on it for a steal.

That feels right. And kudos to him for doing it- I’m a little surprised they fit.

same lug pattern, just need hubcentric rings. Quick google, apparently it’s a well known thing in the odyssey circles (there are TWO forums about it. The internet, always surprising me)

Probably getting rid of the proprietary Michelin garbage run flat wheels.

20"s with tires were probably cheaper.

I generally am not OK with painted crappy regular single piston floating calipers. It only highlights that they’re crappy regular single piston floating calipers and not some cool multi-piston ones. The exception is if they’re painted silver or black to not stand out but keep them looking clean.

It’s a stance minivan it’s different so oppo likes it..

if it was a small Japanese car lowered on big wheels everyone would hate it.

It’s not stanced, it’s lowered. There is a difference.

I can explain this. Third gen Ody Tourings (which this one is since it has front fogs) had the first-generation Michelin Run-Flat PAX tires which apparently had major longevity and sourcing issues. Since the OEM wheels on the Touring were specific to the Michelin PAXs, many more mechanically minded individuals swapped them out for something more conventional in order to be able to use regular tires (known as the dePAX movement).
